How does the review queue work?
My poetry review queue is empty. I’ve skipped some items, blocked some users, seen independently (outside the queue) some items. |
It depends really on the author’s bank when submitting poetry. I find it hard to believe your queue is empty – especially in poetry. Have you done 10’s of 1000’s of reviews? Sounds like you need to pm Steve or Lori on this one. |
I did LESS than 500 reviews to this day. Poetry has 6 gazillion pieces submitted. That’s what freaks me out. |
You did right. But I find that you get quicker response when you do both :) It is not that he or Lori don’t come on that often more that a PM serves as a reminder to them. |
Jebozid, Are you looking at the friends or strangers queue? Your strangers queue (http://urbis.com/review/queue/poetry) will not be empty. Your friends queue may be. |
Strangers, of course. I get about 3-5 new pieces a day there. And that’s a hauntingly small number. The weirdest thing being that I do not get the pieces recently submitted and I think I should. |
OK my earned-poetry queue is empty, I get: “No items are currently available for review in this category.” |
I have found that several of my queues are not refilling that I regularly review in. It’s very frustrating because I spend so much time looking for something to review and then after skipping a few times, the queue don’t refill. Often even after skipping only one or two pieces in queue they are not replaced. It’s gotten to the point where I just get disgusted and log off because I can’t find anything to review! |
Ha, it’s not only me! |
Again, I think this has to do with the new review limit. And if we were to do away with that, then we would never see those stats change on our other thread about reviews given and our percentages of locked reviews. So, you could probably be doing more reviews that would never be unlocked. I dunno; this is starting to feel like being drunk. I’m dizzy. |
Have I ever told you a story ::sits Karma on his lap:: about the times something was wrong with the queue? |
That is correct. |
How? |
Because items that have two unlocked reviews will not appear in your queue any longer. The fact that you review poetry probably makes it even more noticeable to you than to most of us (who are still seeing it) because I have a feeling that poems get their review limits filled much more swiftly than do the rest of items. Anyhow, that’s my thinking…I may c/p this post to another thread as well, if needed ;) |
Pay attention, dear – read my post above Swordmistress’. |

Urbis has a hatred towards obscure animals. |

Jeb, I read that post, but honestly it didn’t compute in my brain properly. Do you think that Steve hasn’t yet looked into your account yet? I personally just assumed that he had. Oh well, we all know what I get for ASSUME-ing tnd, |
Generally speaking my eyes tend to wander when someone, including our beloved pink troublemaker Monsieur Jeb, begins to complain with an unnecessary degree of impatience and whining mediocrity. I am a forum scavenger, looking for the references to inflatable clitorises or bazooka-sized testicles. Pardon my revulsion. Jeb… fear no longer. Karma & myself will review your poems forthwith. Whatever else this thread was about, well… did someone mention an exploding labia? |
Unnecessary degree of impatience?! Unnecessary?! I mean, really ;) |
Oh world, rejoice! The user has 6 reviews given and 2 received (that includes mine). So no reviews unopened story here. |
It’s into dom & sub…. So it’s love in a twisted sort of way ;) |
