RESOLVED! - Remove Deleted items from rankings
Should items that have been deleted appear in the rankings list? |
No. Are they? |
As far as I can tell Meagerblack has deleted all of his items, but they are still in the ranking lists. |
Maybe he just has his items set to private? You wouldn’t be able to see them if he does. |
The message comes up “The item you are looking for has been deleted” or something to this effect. |
Well then… it is deleted. |
Yep. The question is, should it still be listed in the rankings. |
It shouldn’t. Added to this list. |
Thanks, Steve! :) |

I found two more deleted items: True Minds Chapter Twenty-three by LeahD under Novel Treatment Overall and Book Contest Entry (JustADreamer) No. 1 in the Query Letter Rankings. The other one, Dimensions of Perception (meagerblack) is No. 2 on the Publishable – Overall list. |
And to be fair, one of my own under Attract an Agent or Publisher: No. 3 A Daviensian Christmas Carol: Stave 2. |
LeahD! She’s such a good writer. Sad to see her close her account but I think she’s found a good circle of reviewers in another group. |
This is part of my irritation: I want to read these items that are near the top of the rankings. I wanted to read what reviewers deem to be the best query letters, but they had been deleted. One of the items near the top of “Publishable” is deleted, and the one at the very top is of dubious merit. Two of his reviewers logged in once, gave him tens and have never been active again. I guess I could call up six of my friends and do this too. meagerblack hasn’t been active on Urbis since Nov. 2007. When does Urbis decide a user is never coming back? |
I’m sure you’ve noticed this already, Steve, but on the ratings and rankings first page, ONLY the deleted items are listed now. When you click on Show rankings of all items, you see the correct rankings. |
Oops. We just fixed that. All is good with this bug, fyi. No more deleted items appearing. |
Are you sure this is resolved? I was interested in reading the highest ranked ‘talent-overall’ entry, and it linked me directly to the gallery. Could this mean that the item is hidden? Possibly for publication reasons or whatever? This thought only just occured to me. |
