you can also just set your item as private. This way anyone logged in (including those under 18) may read it; yet it will still not be picked up by search engines.

Someone recently was able to read an item I marked as private AFTER I originally posted it without “private” on. It seems that the piece was stored in a database in Manchester. He was able to retrieve it and read it as he didn’t find it on my page. So… If you are going to mark it private do it before while posting it for the FIRST time.
