PRO Difficulty

Hello, I’m trying to make a new version of one of my items PRO. I think I’m not understanding something, when I get to Reviewer Experience, for example, and click on Poetry, I want to choose a minimum of 40 reviews completed and 80% rating quality. I get a message that 0% of Urbis users have this experience. I’ve even tried entering 10 reviews at 70% rating and still get the same message. Are most of you entering something like 1 review at 50% rating. Maybe I’m expecting too much? : ) Really, I would like writers of all genres, not only poetry, to review my work. In order to do this on PRO it looks like I have to click individually on each genre and enter the review/rating no. for each one. Can someone help? Thank you. |

This is a problem that I’ve mentioned before. The experience should be more general so that users who have reviewed 40 poems, haiku, lyrics, and limericks would all be calculated together; prose in a simlar fashion: novel treatments, crime, fantasy, sci-fi, humor/satire. This would make so much more sense. |

I have reviewed over 40 poems and have completed over 80 reviews… so it is not really 0% |

Same here SH |

“he experience should be more general so that users who have reviewed 40 poems, haiku, lyrics, and limericks would all be calculated together;” We are doing this in the next few days. |

Until that is done, I’ve discovered a way to get around this. You can individually enter the specifications for each genre. Each time you add a genre, the precentage of users goes up. So right now I’m just adding all the prose categories one-by-one. |

Yes, DC is correct. We use OR logic here. So adding more categories increases the number of qualified reviewers. So adding experience in Haiku OR Poetry OR Limerick is almost the same as “Poetry – All” experience. The only difference is that the experience and quality numbers are specific to each genre, instead of sum/average of all. I’m probably getting too mathematical here. |

It would be nice to have a “grouping” choice as well. For example: Prose – fiction, Prose – Non-fiction, Poetry, Just a thought. |

That was my original suggestion; but until we have that option, users can choose all the prose categories or all the poesy categories. |

Thanks for your responses. Unfortunately I didn’t go through with entering specs individually. I think I made it through four of them but was getting the same 0% message so I gave up (my patience gives out after the 4th try in any mathematical endeavor). I went ahead and posted my poem and in 3 days, out of 28 reviews, I think I can only use 2 to help me in revising. A lot of wasted credits, I think. Not only that, about 10 of them have come back saying 50% read so I’m wondering where the page 1 cut off is. In my view of the poem I only see the whole thing, not what reviewers are seeing. At any rate I’ve removed it from reviews until my PRO abilities improve. |

I hope you submitted the other 26 for refunds. Cuts off at 300 words. |
