OPEN - Queue Improvement: Remove items by someone you just removed
|
|
Here’s a thought. I have twenty-something pieces open for review. I think when someone reviews one of them from the review queue, that all of my pieces should be removed from their queue for a certain period (say an hour, or 24 hours). This change could help in several ways: 1. The writers don’t get 20 reviews from the same bad reviewer. 2. The reviewers don’t get 20 pieces by the same bad writer (and don’t have to waste skips). 3. The queue stays anonymous. (As it is, you know that the work that replaces the one you reviewed is probably by the same person.) 4. This will let more people get reviewed. 5. The queue won’t favour multiple posters as much. 6. New users (unfamiliar with proper reviewing) will be less likely to have all of their reviews refunded by the same person (which leads them to blame that person). If several different people refund their reviews, they’re more likely to change instead of point fingers. 7. Actually this has nothing to do with the rest of this post. Any progress on the chapter options? :) PS – Thanks for all the cool changes! PRO seems pretty cool (though I wish I could just un-PRO something without deleting it). The Mass Editing Feature is super-handy as well. |

I agree with all of that EAnnonymous |

Yeah, I agree as well….let me see what we can do here. FYI: You can un-Pro something – just need to wait three days. This way, people who are notified don’t have empty review requests. |

OK – HOW DO YOU UN-PRO? I tried and no-go. Please enlighten. |

You just turn reviews off…this removes your item from the review queue. Technically, the item is still PRO….but reviews seem to be the issue, correct? |

I see. In general, the huge server cost (and benefit of the feature) comes when you initially make an item PRO. Turning off PRO on one item to turn another one on is the same as having unlimited PRO items. Initially, the plan was to not even allow additional PRO items after you delete one. I changed that for people who mess up submissions. The good news is, the 50 PRO item limit will be raised as time goes on. |
