Locked Review Rules Changed
|
|
Hi everyone, We changed the rules for how locked reviews affect items in the review queue. We still prevent the most common cause of credit inflation – new users submitting items and not unlocking their reviews. However, more active members (who have proven they unlock their reviews) have a higher limit. The rules will be as follows: So the limit is 2, unless you have more than 30 unlocked reviews, which raises your limit to 3. For every ten over that, you are allowed one more locked review: 50 unlocked = 5 locked allowed, 60 unlocked = 6 unlocked allowed, etc, up to 100 = 10 locked allowed before an item is removed from the queue. Also, the rule no longer applies to random or friend reviews. You may receive as many reviews as your friends and random members want to give you. However, random and friend reviews still count towards your total locked. |

Nice one. That’s a much better system. |

Seems like a complicated solution to a simple equation, but I obviously don’t understand the involved dynamics of the economics here. |

It makes a lot more sense because people who have been on Urbis longer and who have a proven history of reviewing and unlocking are trusted with more locked reviews before their item is taken off the queue. Good job Steve. |

This is good. I am pleased. |

Good! So far I think it didn’t slow the system. Guess it’s some sweet math ;) |

It’s working pretty well. I am just not sure if it is enough. We might consider PRO items being for PRO members only – and doing away with the “two free for basic members” rule. |

I’m not a PRO member but wouldn’t pull my hair out if you took away those 2 PRO items. |

That might be a good idea. |

I’m a bit confused. I’m a lot confused. errr. I used to get reviews ever so quickly. Now I have over 5000 credits and still no reviews. I can live with that. I’ll just use the site to store my work. Sometimes that’s handy as on todays like today when my computer has gone all nerdy and keeps randomly filling pages with |

Turn off reviews for your older items. That may help boost up your review count. |
