Ratings and Rankings (not Goals)
|
|
Hey guys, As many have expressed in these forums and elsewhere, goals were limiting. If one wanted ratings on one’s grammar, one needed to create a goal stating “to have good grammar.” Goals also confused members who created titles like “Just to Be Me,” which is impossible to rate without knowing who “me” is. Now, you may create “Rating Criteria” for your item. This can be anything: an element of style, something specific to your content, or even a goal. If one wanted ratings on one’s grammar, one may now create a Rating Criterion called “Grammar.” We’ll send a newsletter out about this change in the next few days. |

Nice… Are they going to be piece specific… that is we will have to create it new for each piece. Or are they going to be judged against others like before? I prefer it to be piece specific and not ranked against others. |

I think this focus has been lost due to the ocean of humorous criteria. I think the rating criteria should be consolidated. |

Agreed. We need to put some limits on the criteria. |

Oh, happy wonderful day! Have we really reached the end of the “just to be me” era? I’m so ecstatic I could dance. I probably won’t, but the urge is there. I agree that many goals don’t need to be rated against others (grammar is a good example) I wouldn’t mind for the overall category to still have that option. I like seeing how my work holds up against the other pieces on Urbis. |

I think I already deleted “just to be me” a long time ago. We’re deleting and changing others right now. Already removed “to be reviewed by readers” which just doesn’t make since. |

I have absolutely nothing to say. I just noticed that I have lit up the boards with the exception of this forum. Now my vanity is complete. I can retire. |

Had to break your streak! |
